Re: Timber Garages - any recommendations
I don't have much garden space (in the city) so 6m by 4m is about the biggest it could reasonably be. Still I think 4m is reasonable for width.

Timber Garages - any recommendations
Hi, I'm looking at realising a dream and finally getting a garage next year. I like the idea of a timber garage for looks, price and warmth. Any recommendations of suppliers (I'm in Glasgow)? Both for the garage itself and concrete base. Also keen to hear any advice, tips and experiences of timber g...

Re: Steering rack refurb options
I think you may be able to see the steering rack with the wheels still on by peering in the arch with the wheels turned fully. http://i211.photobucket.com/albums/bb157/techieboy_vx/racks.jpg Top one is Sona; bottom is Titan. These are the phosphor bronze cups I used: http://www.seriouslylotus.com/su...

Re: Steering rack refurb options
I had mine refurbished by Titan for about £115 including return postage. They used phosphor bronze cups that I supplied from Seriously Lotus. I had no complaints about the service from Titan and would gladly recommend them. I think the earlier VX220 turbos had titan racks and the later ones had Sona.

Re: Livingston Autoparts Remanufactured Rear Caliper
My understanding is that they sell calipers that have been reconditioned by AMK automotive components who do not deal direct with the public.martins wrote:Do Livingston Autoparts recondition calipers???

Re: Livingston Autoparts Remanufactured Rear Caliper
Yep - I bought the EliseParts one for doing the brake pad change recently.Ferg wrote:Have you got a calliper wind back tool? It's sooo much easier when you have the right tool.
Although, hopefully the new (used) caliper will come with the piston retracted anyway...

Re: Livingston Autoparts Remanufactured Rear Caliper
Thanks both. Unfortunately Livingston Auto Parts did not have any stock and nor, they said, did the manufacturer, AMK. My brakes have gone completely and as I'm in a hurry to get it fixed I've bought a used caliper from Junks which I will attempt to fit at the weekend, as the car is stuck on my driv...

Livingston Autoparts Remanufactured Rear Caliper
It was mentioned on the VX220 forum that a few of you guys had bought Remanufactured rear calipers from Livingston Autoparts. Would anyone care to share their experience of these as I am in need of a new drivers side rear caliper and they seem to be the cheapest solution? Have you found them to be r...

Wanted: Driver's side rear caliper
My rear driver side caliper is leaking so I am looking to replace it. The car is a VX220 but it uses the same calipers as all S2 Elise and exige.

Re: Loosing coolant - replace radiator?
Another possibility is the bleed valve on the front coolant hose.
