You can connect the meter anywhere really, I bought one from Halford to check the motoerhome as it cooked a battery .think you can get them to fit the cigarette lighter ..

See if you can fit a volt meter in somewhere to see what's going on.
Don't buy a cheap alternator , they don't last .....I know.

I have reworked many blocks if you decide to down the rebuild route . It could be a cracked liner or perhaps the liners are leaking if the sealer had gone ....

I have a couple of companies looking at it now , house , solar plus storage as we are out all day . Perhaps a 4kw with 13 kW storage. Workshop as well, we ise about 140 kW a day so 20 is kW per hour ....Will see how it pans out and report back. Liking the Tesla bank ....but £8k .....guess that's why...

I am still on the lookout to test new shoes or boots for the walk . It's been to cold to try lightweight ones out yet . If it rains it will be my old Faithfull boots . Also have the green top . Up to 15 miles now , but had a couple of weeks off with DIY work at the weekend instead . Planning an 18mi...

Another good weekend ,22 miles in total , Killicrankie to Pitlochry on Saturday , and Ben V Yrakie on Sunday morning .
Very busy in Pitlochry , and up the Ben over the weekend , and cracking weather .

Looking forward to the mighty hike , done a few 14 mile hikes already, and 3 climbs of the Ben so far this year , along with the usual dog walks.
