ive just had my renewal through from aplan.

cheapest they can get me is £639.98, thats with 9 yrs no claims, no points and 29 yrs old.

Think ill try CCI this morning....i went online but there seems to be various insurance compaines called that with different web addresses???

I am older than you, but not sure that counts anymore at 70, could go the other way, but with 11 points and a S/C S1 Honda conversion, I am only paying £310.

CCI came up top for me too... S2 111s, 25 years old, 7 year no claims, parked on street in EDI all for a brilliant £419 including 5 trackdays!!

That was over £200 less than my renewal from elephant so I was fairly pleased to say the least!

Renewal from APlan was £395 inc. legal (10,000miles, mods etc, wife and I).
Phoned Chris Knott, and got the whole lot for £350 , including removal of the 'No third party on other vehicles' bit. Very helpful, and would def. recommend! Kim was the lady I spoke to.

I chatted to Kim (from CK) about it and she said that it's something everyone seems to be adding onto policies for convertible cars and she wasn't sure why. I had that clause last year and it turned out to be a bit of a pain. There were prob. half a dozen occasions I couldn't drive someone else's car because of it.

Renewal Quote with Aviva came in at £400ish which seemed a bit steep so gave CCI a call after reading about them on here. They came back at £220 inc half a dozen track days. That will do nicely!!
