to be honest, IMHO confused.com and compare the market and other such websites are a load of sh1te but are great for getting companies to fone you which is good for 2 reasons:
1) no phone call expense
2) you can say youve found a better deal (i.e. bull sh1t them) and then typically theyll try and match it, or beat it.

im pretty sure we can all agree that the only way to get a good deal is to actually talk to insurance companies direct, aforementioned websites are only good for giving a vaguely ballpark figure.

The best quote i got for my elise was from adrian flux, but eventually from a company called Herts Insurance Company. Theyre really good on the phone, the call centre is based in england, and their reps speak clearly. and when i say clearly, i mean they speak english as their first language.

For a laugh Clare got a quote for N1TUT(Honda) in her own name yesterday.

Just 21, 4 years no claims, no points, fully comp, £1300.

Round about when hell freezes over.

Ranks with the MX5, VX220, and pink Ford Ka as a girlie car.

Phil, twas Endsleigh, the same company that we used for Ian on the Audi TT.

Still a ball breaker at £3K, but a lot less than all the others. Don't forget though that as a girlie Clare will be getting on for half as much as a similar aged boy.
