Scotland Gathering, July 24 2010

Post by Big Erch » Sun Jun 27, 2010 9:41 pm

Hi,

I'm a newbie on this forum but I'm a big fan of all Lotus cars. I have an Elan M100 and a early Stevens Esprit. I'm looking for a 111R so I guess this forum will come in handy :D

This is an open invitation for all Lotus drivers to come to Aberdeenshire for the Weekend of 24 & 25 July 2010.
I'm holding a BBQ and other events for some Lotus friends and it'd be great to see some of you guys there too.

Here are some details - http://www.gairnshiellodge.co.uk/lotusbbq2010.htm

I have a restricted number of rooms and it's first come first served.
Plenty of ground for tents (or Caravans )
Just bring your lotus, a towel/toothbrush and some booze and we'll provide the bacon rolls in the mornings and a BBQ on the Saturday night.

Hope to see you all soon, Arch

Hi,

It looks like we're going to have a good turn-out from 60's Elans to modern Evoras. If you're thinking of comming please PM me or phone the lodge. Many thanks and I hope the Weather stays good. Cheers, Arch

Jings, it's this weekend!

I, unfortunately, have other plans on this weekend or I'd have loved a run up there. None of the Aberdeen crowd up for it?

Arch,

Somehow I missed this, would have LOVED it :-(

Like Shug, got stuff on (family commitments...believe me if I could get out of it...) so will have to wish you well from afar.

Sounds like a fun event and perhaps if you are prepared to try it again next year, we could get the ball rolling a little earlier and get more people signed up. This lot are not averse to camping, and your base is at the heart of some of our favourite roads :-)

Is it just possible you could be taking on the mantle of Tut Towers for the future...do a search on the forum for background :D

Hope the event goes well, post up here on the aftermath with pics etc if you can, and stay in touch.

Could be up for this, have pass this onto my other half as we've been looking for an excuse to pull the tent out of the attic!

We were up in Tomintoul on Saturday. Took a run from Dundee -> Grantrown on Spey and back in her newly Exige suspended VX220 to see what sort of improvement it was (big smiles all round!)
