Weather was pretty changeable in the morning. Did it brighten up in the afternoon? Was on-call and the number of phone calls was getting silly by lunchtime so had to shoot off.
Spotted a couple of S1's in the car park though - silver one (**** LAD?) and a nightfire red one (TSE stickers). I guess folk on here? Don't think I've seen either cars before round town. I was in my mate's CF clarted Scooby parked besides you...

I popped out late morning for a few hours, caught the last hour or so of practice and only stayed for the first timed runs, couldn't feel my feet. Really impressed with the different types of motors competing and the amount of people in the afternoon spectating, wasn't expecting so many people.

I take it that S1 Exige is supercharged, because that was rapid, I think Graeme broke the class record on his first run, a 56.?? I think. Mike, I wandered round to your car to say hi, but couldn't find you by your car. How did you and Alastair get on in the second round? Out of interest, what mods you done to your car? I think I can remember speaking to you last year at the SIDC track day and it's a B&C conversion, but was wondering if you've done anything else to it.

Things have moved on a bit since then. BTW it was me that gave you the disk with the manuals on it, was at my house we chatted. Since you last looked at the car it has had:
2 way Nitrons with 500/425lbs springs
Elise parts ally belled disc's
Pagits
Poly bushed around
Braided hose kit
Wishbones powder coated
New wheel bearings and TCE's
Janspeed 40mm manifold and Lotus sport back box
Sport cat
Emerald (Fried, away for repair)
Hurricane
Close ratio box with quaife LSD
Spare wheels (rimstock)
Competition seat
New Profi harnesses.
Motorsport adjustable ARB.

In development for next year.
Rover 1.8 K VVC
Roger Darby head
Piper 285's
Jenvey 42mm TB's
Omega pistons
Steel rods
Lightened flywheel
Pico 330ml injectors
New crank
Balanced and machined by Agra (Dundee)
Bernard Scouse airbox.

Most of the above "in development stuff" I have with the exception of the airbox, the machining will get done in time for the start of next years season. One point though, had it been available, I would now have gone the supercharged route as the TT230 set up is now available from turbo technics as a kit for a lot less than the above. To be fair they only started offering it in kit form recently.

It wasn't me that picked up the manuals, must have been another local. That’s some winter project you got there, what figure you hoping to achieve with the new engine? Will that take you closer to what Graeme is running in his Exige?

Sorry your right it was someone else. memory ain't what it used to be.
Get closer but not quite match unfortunately, hoping the weight difference will take care of the rest. Want 220bhp, if the cams don't make that then they will get changed for 300 with solid lifters.

graemes is a very rare tt260 with only around 7 ( 4 exiges /1 340r/ 2 s1 190 elises ) built, they give approx 270 bhp and over 200 torques
tt had serious problems with the 12k conversion but they gave a 2 year inc track g tee option ,so they are now sorted and will last as good as any vhpd
there are two tt260 s in scotand
the tt230 was drag raced and proved to be a bit quicker than a std honda conversion but it does not feel like as the honda has the second cam kick
conclusion of the test was honda nicer for track, tt nicer for road
tut should remember david browns exige and his problems or the 340r fitted one with the heat issues yet some worked fine from the outset
