It's a special edition so came fully loaded so probably a bit heavier. He also has an issue high in the rev range and you could well be right that the TC is cutting the power possibly due to wheel slip. They should switch it off but it does look like the spark has been cut hence the engine leaning off dramatically. He also recorded a low power run for the SLS run as well at 263bhp and if the car or Brian are a bit heavier than my guess then it's easy to see why it is below the class D threshold.

On a side note Adam, I still think it should be split between modified and production but that's just me. There is no doubt it is gaining in popularity so maybe something to look at in the future.

The collective low dyno results certainly explain the lap times in the groups. I couldn't get my head around group D doing 57 sec laps.

Donald.... i'd say the track is also a bit quicker these days (again)... about 0.5s

Going back to TA days, your 440ish hp evo would have been in 335whp/1400 = 239hp/ton - Class C. C is getting quicker and quicker now too... 58s would have done well 2014, 57s are now the norm.

Class D - 1 car has done a high 57, so I'd say its the exception. He's also right near the top of the scale.

Fee is now doing 54.5 with 480 (fly bhp), 377 HQ WHP now :) lol

There is now a 'road car' championship to help recognise the difference. I think too much splitting/too many classes is a bad thing overall though. Look at the state of TimeAttack just now. I think nearly every person has their own class <exageration>.
