Has anyone tried to get a doofer for the peage recently. You were able to apply online with a credit card. However, I cant seem to find that area on t'interweb. :(

I had a read through it last week for our impending trip. I found a few forums saying that, very recently, they have binned the service to foreigners, as a lot of people were using the tolls on a credit card that then bounced when they tried to take payment.

They seemed to be making it possible to get one only if you have a french bank account.

I read this in a few places, looked at a few websites, got completely pi55ed off and sacked the idea. I`ll just have to sit in a few queues at a few tollbooths.

Yep, it seems to be working. Now on stage for credit card.

Note: Postcode system doesnt like our postal codes, however, default 99999 in there will allow you to pass this and allow you enter in Complément field.

We have French bills coming in for taxes etc and noticed this on our address.

Well, I have one but neighbour is after one for our visit in September.

He will gladly pay for the usage!

Is the mount transferable? It's pretty stuck on my screen.

If I had known they were transferrable I would have posted up a request, doh. Leave 9am Saturday so probably too late to get one in time.

Some discussion on Blatchat about this recently
- Unfortunately It seems that Sanef customers will require direct debit fusing a French bank account from now on.

http://www.blatchat.com/t.asp?id=189030&pn=2&ps=15

There MAY be a possibility to get a transponder from APRR instead

.... sorry should have read through more carefully.

I'd be interested to hear if anyone manages to set up an account with them,
The Sanef peage transponders worked very well for us this year on the French Frolic.
