M8 & Glasgow Gridlock

Post by Dominic » Fri Sep 19, 2008 11:37 am

Jeez!! It's gridlock in the west today.

The M8 west bound, & M80 south into Glasgow have been closed all morning. All the roads around the north of the city are jammed up  Took me 1 hour 45 mins to do a 10 min journey

Can't grumble too much though; at I least i was not one of the unlucky ones caught out in the fuel spill; 14 seperate crashes, one 8 car pile up! Let's hope they catch the culprit!

Mandy left for Clydebank at 7am this morning - arrived at 11.40am having tried various diversion. Eventually took the train in!

I've been trying to arrange for an improptu autotest at Junction 11 but haven't been able to get permission from the Strathclyde's finest.

Very weird indeed to see the westbound carriageway empty, was like a scene from 28 days later :D

I really really miss working in the city.

Today, I had to go see a client in Campbeltown. Rush hour on the Mull of Kintyre was just awful too.
