Anyone spoken to Ali recently?
I spoke to him at the weekend but not been able to get in touch with him since. Left a couple of messages but nothing and his phone has been off all day today when i tried
If anyone is going up tomorrow can you ask him to get in touch?
Cheers
Lewis

He was off sick this week for a bit i think mate?
Spoke to him tonight, and he'd been over the forth sorting someones car.
It can be a bit of a pimpernell chase tracking him down. He's suprisingly busy at the moment also.
Meant to be passing by tomorrow at some stage, if i have time, so will mention it to him.

Thanks Andy
Had a chat through what I need with him and it's a 20min job so hoping he can squeeze me in on Sat.
Cheers

Andy - did you get anywhere with Ali?
He told me he wanted the work, I was to call him the following week to arrange - a fortnight later with 9 calls, 4 voicemails and 3 texts and I haven't heard a peep back

Is this not the problem people have often had with SLS? From what's been said in the past, if you decide to book your car in there, you should accept that prompt attention may not be forthcoming. Fine if you go in with your eyes open, but not necessarily suitable for everyone.

How any business can survive with such a basic lack of basic professionalism is beyond me

Beats me.
I really like Ali, but I don't understand why he can't drop me a text and tell me whats going on. If he doesn't have time, no problem, i'll go somewhere else. But at least I know..! The last few years i've given Ali every job that i've had but the last 4 or 5 jobs have gone elsewhere as i've never heard back from him.
Funny bit is I called JRM Coachworks in Roseburn last Saturday and asked them if they could do the job for me, told me to bring it done and they sorted it within 2 hours!!

He’s had my car to do the clutch and manifold for 5 ½ weeks, haven’t heard from him in nearly a week. It’s like you say he’s a really nice guy but to keep saying it’s nearly done and he’ll call me back, then to hear nothing it’s taking the piss a bit. :-/ When it’s your daily drive its pretty inconvenient to say the least.

So you will be looking 6-7 weeks before you get it back? Assuming it's ready to pick up....
