I've always been considering doing a respray of the car at some point but never thought of doing it so soon but I thought if I was going to do it now would be the best time seeing as the car was going to be off the road anyway. So after all the insurance work was completed I went for it.
My car is with Protek in Bathgate, the family has been using Protek for car repairs for the past 10 years and we've always had excellent results, not to mention they completely repaired my friends RS4 Cabrio after some git put brake fluid all over the whole car. It came back looking better than when it came out the showroom. Tom is a perfectionist when it comes to this sort of stuff so I know the car is going to come back to the highest of standards.
Tom (the Director) and his team are brilliant to work with, very patient with my constant mind changing about the colour and took a great deal of time explaining the whole painting process, types of paint and possible effects.
I was originally going to go with getting Ultimate Green (Focus RS) colour but after seeing various shades of it I decided against it and settled on Chrome Orange. This again changed after Tom called me back in to compare Chrome Orange with Electric Orange from the Focus ST and I’m so glad he did as for me Electric Orange is a much better colour with a more pearlescent effect so looks even better when the sun is shining on it.
It's not finished yet but they sent me some pics of the progress so I thought I would start sharing them.
Excuse the picture quality as they aren’t the greatest on top of which I had to make them much smaller and compress them before the forum would let me upload the but you’ll get the idea.

More pics now that I know how to post them properly.
The final few bits on slow bake in the oven.

New pictures from the rebuild of the car

New pictures - wheels done and film applied
All that's left is a full polish and a bit of tyre gel and it's done

Close ups of the film protection, virtually invisible unless you go looking for it at close inspection.

All finished just before I picked the car up. Enjoy!
I'll get more pics of it in the sun as soon as it decides to shine.

Took these earlier in sunny Kent with the iphone
