The 50 rooms have now been confirmed at the Alexandra Hotel, Fort William, so you can book in when you are ready. I have asked if they can give me 40 twins and 10 doubles so we have plenty of leeway for two sharing, and the amended Database will be live in an hour with some difference in the headings, so you will be able to update your entries.

I will now be putting the details out on the Yahoo Tut Towers Group as well as the Forum, for those that are not on S_E which is mainly down South. Mike and I along with Craig for Saturday, will be dealing with the different parts, so I have the luxury of not asking for payment or arranging the catering this year.

Did not anticipate that. As I had to change most of the headings as we have now confirmed everything, I had to edit all 60 entries individually.

Your name and nickname are still on, but please fill in the other details. If you could keep it to the same format as my entry, i.e.:- small y/n it helps with sorting. Reminder for those that have not yet joined the TT Group, go to http://autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/tuttowers/database and request approval.

IT types, is it possible to export this database to somewhere that more people have access to? Problem being that while this worked on the old S_E (because that, in itself was a Yahoo group) the vast majority of those who used to post there now have lost their Yahoo logins (I know I have and it took me an age to get into the database for this year first time round - and will again as I can't find my revised login details now  ) and nobody uses Yahoo for anything any more.

I know google docs can easily be used for this sort of thing, but would require Tut re-approving everyone, so might not be the right answer - plus it just does exactly the same thing (albeit with a system that many more people will be able to log into without creating a new account these days)

Must be a better way than Yahoo groups (surprised they still exist, if I'm honest...)

It looks like Yahoo now lets you sign in using either your Facebook or Google logins so that should cover most people

Thanks Shug, quite happy to have it transferred to another format that makes it easier for access. Most of the entries will be from S_E, but already the regulars from down south have heard and are adding their names.

At present, anything they we post on the Forum I will repeat on Yahoo Groups, no extra work as one post goes to everybody. Mike is also going to put it out to the LEGS Group as we now share events and they need to see what they are missing.

Tut Towers always used to start with me thinking what a great idea it would be after a few Laphroaigs, I would then tell Verian, she would re-arrange my goolies, different this time, but now catching up.

Except I couldn't get it to work with my Google login, I seem to remember...

Still, if it's already populated and working for most, I'll persevere with it.

If anybody has problems with access to the DB let me know and we will either sort it out or I will put the details in for you.
