It's been over a year now since my best mate Elvis passed away and we're now thinking it's about time we started looking for another Pup; Amiee has set her heart on a black Labrador so we've stepped up the search for a breeder but we'd prefer a recommendation, therefore, if anyone has any experience, good or bad of Labrador breeders I'd be really interested to hear from you.

Cheers,

Gordon,

I would try Jill Grant (both Dom and I got Working Cocker Spaniels from Jill). I think she also breeds Labrador's but if not will know someone reputable that she can put you in touch with. She is down in Northumberland but both Dom and I will testify that she is a very good breeder and is very selective when it comes to breeding dogs. Both Zoe and Star are testament to the fact.

She can be contacted on the following:
Mobile: 07751 946322
Landline: 01388 488 371

As she lives in the countryside her mobile reception can be a little bit dodgy so sometimes it's better to get her on her landline and leave a message if she's out/about.

Great picture as always and looking mega cute.

No reason to clarify the stray ear, we all know that with your folical diversity it would always be blonde rather than brunnette :)

Word of warning to dog owners; Some people put bread out in the parks where we stay, for the birds I guess. From time to time Zoe (our mutt) picks up that bread, we try to stop her but it's not always possible. On Saturday she had a small bit. On Saturday night, she became very ill, shaking and almost fitting, and vomiting a lot. She was also clearly distressed. Quick call to our vet, (who despite being at a family social gathering took my call) and we were on our way to the 24hr emergency vets. It was probably 25 mins from first noticing her state (which came on pretty quickly) to arriving at the vets, during which time she was deteriorating. They worked wonders. Gave her various drugs and treatments, put her on a drip and kept her in. Turns out that she had eaten some moldy bread, the mold is toxic to dogs. We picked her up yesterday afternoon and she is back to her normal self. Big thanks to Ali for his phone support and the guys at Vets now. A big thanks to the pet insurance too who have a large bill heading their way. Be wary of what your dog picks up, even an apparently harmless bit of bread can be dangerous.
