Full 2ubular "OEM" system fitted by MMC - Evora S

Post by anthonyyule » Sat Jan 31, 2015 10:47 pm

Picked the car up today... And I'm very impressed. I'm convinced that anyone who witnesses it will want to speak to Craig at MMC.

At idle, with the valve closed, it sounds similar to the standard exhaust at idle in sport.

Likewise, on the move, valve closed up to around 3,000rpm it's about as loud as the standard exhaust with valve open. As the revs climb the noise level increases beyond standard and its a nice noise too - not drony.

But with the valve open?...... WOW. At idle, stabbing the throttle - it sounds like its a straight through pipe from a GT racing car..... On the move it sounds AMAZING. Second person today that commented on it sounding like - if not better - than many Ferraris. In fact, IMac even said that one of the only cars he had heard sounding nicer (and louder) was a 355 with a Tubi exhaust.

And it's definitely breathing better too..... Feels stronger.

I'll try and get some pics loaded up in the morning.

Anyone thinking about this should bring it up at LEGS tomorrow - Craig has worked really hard (with Saj) to get a production ready "OEM" style exhaust developed with Jim... And I've got to says it's awesome. Imagine Craig level of service and install with Jim level of quality....

Retail is £4300 inc vat, for which you place the order with Craig and he manages Jim (priceless many will agree), and fits the system too 8)

I believe that it is actually THAT good. Arguably turns the car into what it should have been to start with - and finally gives the cars it (albeit loud) voice! I can understand why Lotus don't do it though - but their loss keeps people like Jim in business.

I believe it's a 9 hour install for Craig and the boys.. which is where a chunk of the money goes. If the weather ever improves up here I'll get the car out and post some videos... It's epic...

Agreed that you could buy a car for the same money - but I guess it's relative.. My Evora was bought new and cost a fortune, but I love it and enjoy spending some pennies on it :)

Its great to spend money on your pride and joy , why not. But that value for a small gain in performance and it making the car sound better not for me.

Each to their own and bet it sounds great , but for that sort of premium ... No thanks.

I'm really happy with it actually, and I think the gains are more than just subjective. Komotec quote good gains from their full system - and the weight saving is significant too.

I'm about to fit a new Carbon CAI and accompanying remap... Which should net around 400hp. Still cheaper than shelling out for a new 2015 face lifted Evora - and if I've got the money to spend then why not! lol

I'd rather try and make improvements this way than put a body kit or something on it.

Looking forward to the video Tony :popcorn

Kingers old Evora with the sports box was one of the nicest sounding exhausts that I have heard. I can only imagine how good this one is.

£430 is decent value. When I first read that I actually though you had said £4300  but obviously that was a typo.

Upload to your photo hosting service then paste a link back in here. If you don't have a hosting service, YouTube will prob do. Just need an account. I think you can make the YouTube upload link private only to those you give it to, if you wish.
