Lotus #5

Post by StiflerMR2 » Mon Jun 19, 2017 8:35 am

I was lucky enough to pick up the new car from Craig on Saturday. It still feels like a Lotus but is a bit different from the S1...

The overtaking torque is pretty awesome but it does feel heavier - it will take a little time to learn the car I think, but in a good way. I've never been sold on the looks of the Europa but i have to say in the flesh its a pretty cool looking thing. SWMBO also has declared it as her favorite of the Loti i've had, so thats a bonus!

Sadly wont be able to make it to Croft on Friday but will look to get on the next SIDC with it. I need to make a list of upgrades as well ;)

Here's a few pictures stolen from Mark Howies FB page who gave it a good going over. And of course, Craig has been excellent during the purchase, he really does go above and beyond, many thanks again Craig.

Cheers.

Looks great, congratulations. I always find the Europa looks much better in the flesh, I think it's a car that needs the context of other cars around it to show it's stuff. They look amazing on the road, and proper rare too.

Thanks guys,

Bit of a surprise purchase, just before Ross got there. I'd like to think it let Ross buy the car he really wanted anyway ;)

Only down side atm is that the internal power unit wont work so I can't power anything from it (like a compressor) - I'll just buy a foot pump however ;)

Oh, and I've had a VX220 before so I'm well versed in the 'cost saving' GM parts offer!
