I can get anything from Arbroath tomorrow and Wendy can take it up to her office in Abz next to AECC on Friday morning if that helps

Many thanks Jim. I have reserved it but it will not allow me to pay for it online. If you are able to do that for me then I will EFT the money to you.

That would be a big help Scotty, rather not leave her for several hours tomorrow.

ps:- could you open it please and take a pic of the contents, I think I may need to order a DAB aerial. Also one of the rear of the unit to see the sockets.

Sanjoy,

You may be right with the one in the picture above but I remember the majority of the Porsche units were Becker.

Had a Becker in the 964 and once I put new speakers in the car, the sound was still fantastic for the age of the vehicle. When new it must have blown the braces off the stock brokers of the time.

Tut, that's the same head unit I have in the TVR and it sounds great, if a bit fiddly to use.

Just to confirm you will need a DAB aerial :thumbsup

As it was a display unit I was going to check if there was one in the box.

If not I was planning to buy this, AN-DAB1 from eBay. Does not seem to matter whether you pay £8 or £35 it is the same one. Which one do you have Ross?

Hi Tut,

I have the same unit in my wife's Mini and its great. The mini doesn't have a Dab aerial either so I bought this which splits your normal aerial signal to feed the Dab tuner so no need for a glass aerial. Works great in the mini strong signal everywhere.

Thanks Dave, that looks a better solution. Presume that it all sits behind the head unit, ie:- splitter DAB aerial into Pioneer, Elise aerial into splitter, splitter FM aerial into Pioneer?

"Connect the blue wire to the aerial power lead that is 12 volts with the radio switched on." Presume that is for a powered aerial system and will not apply to the Beesting aerial of the Elise?
