M.O.T for race/rally car Glasgow

Post by p4ilip » Wed Sep 06, 2017 6:15 pm

I am looking to get an mot in Glasgow on my race car. The only thing I can see that may cause a problem are
1. Tyres.
They say for competition use but have plenty tread depth. I'm fairly sure it's tread depth that's important as it marketed as s road legal tyre by Yokohama.
2. My air bag light is on. I have no airbags fitted.
Has anyone had a similar problem in Glasgow or know if any mot stations that are used to working with this type of car.
Feel free to pm.

Would Ayrshire be ok? May know a couple of places that could help.

I'm not sure if Kenny Brown does MOTs but I'm sure they can recommend somewhere if they don't.

Kenny brown got my Evo through its MOT, he takes it elsewhere but is obviously good friends with the tester

Kenny Brown serviced my M100 Elan for 10 years and had its annual MOT done at a friendly tester down the street .
