For those with the sport pack, this is one aspect I know many turn off. The valves weren't that reliable in the early models AFAIK so several with the sport pack have disabled this option.

So not worth retrofitting then?

I had a couple of issues with my TPMS from new but now that's it works it is quite handy but I wouldn't go to the bother of retrofitting.
Congrats on the new car BTW :thumbsup enjoy it.

I'm not far behind you in Evora ownership - only had the car 4 weeks. Previous owner had problems with TPMS and had it disabled. After initially wondering if missing out in something, a chat with Craig M confirmed its not worth the hassle.

I've not had mine fitted for over a year now. Can't say I've missed them tbh.

i've got a slow puncture just now... that's the second one i've had on the Evora. First was caused by a wee nail but this one is a faulty valve.

Spotted quicker with the TPMS than without. I wouldn't be without it now.

plus it looks cool on the dash having the pressures shown.

I like my TPMS. No problems for me and had 4 new tyres fited this year all without a hitch.

I've just passed 1 year of Evora ownership and agree that it just keeps getting better!

Elaine's has had two slow punctures - well, three if you take into account the TPMS valve not being tight enough when we got it. Due to us living across from a building site at the mo - both nails in the tread.

Agree, the dash display is a really good thing (and hers has been 100% reliable, even though it's a Launch Edition - I suspect the sensors have been replaced though) She's hugely guilty of just jumping in and driving and never checking over the car, so a display telling her she's ruining tyres is "a good thing".

The sensors are much smaller than they used to be. My old S8 had them and they were almost designed to get broken when you pop a tyre off to change it, so they didn't stay active long. The ones in the Evora are a fraction of the size, so much less likely to be damaged by tyre fitters.

Faulty, or possible to nip it up with an 11mm deep socket? That fixed the slow that Elaine's was delivered with.

I've got several 7/16" deep sockets if you need to nip it up (7/116" being pretty much 11mm).

Is that not rather circular?! Due to the unreliable TPMS valves you like the TPMS visual as it tells you when they are leaking!
Mates holiday to France in his Evora was ruined by his TPMS valves constantly leaking.

Valves don't need to be tpms type to leak.

Noticing a puncture or slow puncture early is good enough for me.

I once failed to notice a slow puncture until the tyre exploded at 70mph and the car went all slidey at the back.

Daft not to use tpms if you have the option imho.
