New S1 in the Highlands

Post by Cawdors1 » Mon Oct 26, 2015 7:56 am

Hi all...

Anyone else up in the Highlands? (I'm in Cawdor nr Inverness/Nairn) I'm now the very, very happy n proud owner of a childhood dream.....a Lotus!! Kept looking at the badge on the steering wheel and thinking...."Only took 50 yrs to get here" lol.....It's an S1 in...not sure the title, think Titanium with black hood, Larini Clubsport and Hurricane induction, sounds incredible..... Hope to see a few folk about....flashed me lights at a British racing Green S1 on the way up the A9 yesterday......he was heading South.....

Jon....50yr old still laughing and pinching myself in disbelief.... :D :D :D

Thank you.....looks like the car was owned by a SELOC member or former member praps....been lowerd with Lotus parts from what I have read.....what a toy tho....had a Westfield with a Cosworth 300bhp motor about 9 yrs back and this out handles that no problem!! Once, as a kid, tried to convince the local Lotus dealer to let me wash cars for nowt, just to get up close to an Elite/Eclat etc......told me to bugger off...lol.....will get some pics today. Jon

Always good to see the enthusiasm of a new owner when he first posts Jon. I drove through Cawdor last Saturday on my way home, just moved house near to Keith.

We have a road run on November 8th if you are interested and Elgin is on the route which suits me now.

Once I get my new rota (I'm a support worker for Adults with Learning Disabilities), I will let you know, would love a run out n meet up. Wife has an Mx-5 mK2.5 and we go for runs with the Hi-Fives group. Jon

Welcome !

My folks are in Fortrose and i hail from Inverness so i'm up quite a few times a year.....

....although the arrival of a 4 month old and all his stuff means we won't be in the evora as much as i'd lile :(

Every year in May the VX220 boys and girls do "highland hoon" which takes them through inverness on the way home, i'll find the thread and ping it on if you want to join in some of all of the fun. :thumbsup
i3s, Volvo and more pushbikes than strictly necessary.

....did i ever tell you about the Evora and VX220 i used to own?

Good stuff, never see many around the sneggie area.

Similar experience wanted one for years, had mine 18months now and still come away grinning like an idiot after every drive its a very emotive car.

Ex black isler here, folks and siblings all still there.

Great choice, car and colour! You're certainly in the perfect location to get the most out of the car. :-)
