Sportcat or standard?

Post by Oldsparky » Mon Jan 30, 2017 10:44 pm

With an S1 Elise factory manifold and Exige backbox, is there any advantage to fitting a sportcat rather than a standard? I have a feeling it will just make more noise rather give than any appreciable performance improvement. Plus it's getting on for 3 times the cost of a standard cat...perhaps better to put the money saved towards a Larini or 2bular backbox?

Just read Tut's comment in the manifold replacement thread :D Think I'll go for a standard cat and save my pennies for an exhaust upgrade sometime.
