Not keen on la source, expensive and bland in the middle of nowhere. Could be any generic hotel in any middle of nowhere location. :p

Ferg - hows the man maths going ?

It has been pointed out that I'm already away on a stag do in May and that we had to alter the family holiday plans. I will try and do Cadwell, but no Euro fun for me this year.

Spa is booked

Gents - so we have Lot at Spa on the 18th. As mentioned there is another outfit running a day on the 19th, and if 5 of us fancy it, they'd knock 50 Euros per person off making it 450 Euros each.

or should we head back to blighty on the Saturday night party boat, day off Sunday (perhaps find a nice hotel/leisure place etc) pre-Cadwell on Monday?

Thinking personally if I've gone all that way I'd probably favour doing the Sunday at Spa, and then Sunday night ferry back, for Monday morning drive to Caldwell in time for trackday?

Thoughts?

I think it'd be a bit tight trying to do both Spa days. Unless you want to leave Spa early it'd have to be the Hook-Harwich ferry. It's got to be a good 3 hours from Harwich up to Cadwell so it'd be getting on for 11 by the time you're there - plus the VIP suites likely to have broken everyone by then - I doubt any of us would have managed that drive the last time.
Depending on customs the Hull ferrys probably worse - I don't think we got clear of customs till about 10:30 last time we used it, and then its another hour+ to Cadwell. Leaving Spa you'd have to be on the road by 4 and have a clear road to make it, so 3 to allow for the usual chaos.

Ferry doesn't depart till 10pm Sunday Night (even leaving Spa at 4pm would be fine after 2 days) though and arrives at 6am Monday morning - so should work out. Hook of Holland. Just need to keep it sociable in the Lounge and impose a curfew so we are all "fit for purpose" come 6am...

I've no interest in Amsterdam - i want more track time

3 hours from Harwich to Cadwell so should be vaguely on time.

Will start a list for Sunday at Spa so we can get the 50 Euro discount if theres 5 of us
