Where the hell were you Dave, why did you not come into the pits, a whole lot of your old mates there?

I was talking to Alan (the Instructor who briefed us and made scurrilous remarks about me), and he actually had to have a mechanical heart pump fitted four years ago, so a worst situation than mine, though he said it returned him to normal life. He is half my age so I will not achieve that but would settle for 80%.

Driving standards were excellent over a large selection of cars, did not even see a black flag being given, but the red flags work both ways, I was waiting for one to go and refuel and then left it too late, so could not go out on track for the last 30 minutes.

I did offer N3 when I was resting between sessions, to anyone that wanted to take it out, even the Ape, but no one took me up on it. You had better not say because it would have probably killed you in front of Craig, he both spent weeks working on it and was at the track.

I have a 20l fuel can which I used to take with me on highland trips when I needed super unleaded. No longer need it so you're welcome to use it next time to save a trip to the pumps / time.

Uploaded the photos to FB (you will be able to view without an account)

Feel free to comment on the photos and tag drivers. Many of the Elises didn't have front number plates so I can't tell who is who in many of them, but I'm sure you'll be able to recognise yourselves :)

c8rkh. I was behind you when you decided not to brake for Duffus. Thought you were extremely brave at the time.....warmed the brakes and tyres nicely though, and is that not what the warm up is for....

I don't know about warming the brakes and tyres but it did warm my backside and not potentially in a good way! Certainly woke me up, that was for sure. Again, as my first ever track day apologies if I got in anyone's way.

We all get in someones way at some stage, there is only one fastest car on track, but as long as you let passing cars by as soon as it is safe to do so, that is all that is required.

I need to apologise to everyone about my indicators though, it's all too easy on the 7 to ping the indicators with my hamfisted steering, I may have confused a few of you, thanks to all for your patience. Thanks also for organising, the kids and I always felt entirely safe, my only regret was I didn't find the time to have a go with the instructor, maybe next time.
It was nice to see an old crossflow being used as it's maker intended.Regarding the indicators, someone had fitting a loud bleeper (from a motorbike i think) to my one - you could easily hear it going with a crash helmet on.

I did not realise it was a reverse direction Track Day.

However I have a feeling Andy will be along to say that it was not him driving.

That was Andy's mate, and to be fair to him, Andy's car was handling like a tut mobile so not exactly a gentle introduction to Elise driving.

Ferg, managed to capture your dads wee spin:

Out of interest, what rear diffuser does your old S1 have on it? Quite fancy one like that myself

I also tidied up the other video so it was actually putting out at a decent quality:
