Nice photos as always. It was good to speak with you again. Hope to see you on Sat.
Stu, I only took pax out once. The session was stopped about 5 times losing 40 mins out of 120 mins (rubbish). The track condition was good. The SLR locks the driver's side front wheel so easily with a pax (as the car has been corner weighted with just me in it). I need more seat time to learn to driving it properly as I am slower in it than the CR

I will take you out in it

I don't know driving in another way which isn't risky. Each one has to improve himself. Each driver has its limit. My limit is a little bit further than other's.

Lovely ………… any of the silver R400? I’m a ‘newbie’ to trackdays and last night was my first event. I've never had so much fun - thanks to all the guys who pointed me to your forum.

From what I hear from the quick Cat guys, the trick is driving both ends of the car...
With the CR, you'll have so much rear grip that you just worry about understeer/oversteer going into a corner and it's mostly managing understeer on the way out (unless you fark it up properly) Mid corner it just grips (certainly, it's probably losing you exit speed if it's sliding).
To get the cats going quick, you need to manage oversteer all the time and steer it as much mid-corner with the throttle as with the steering. Much easier to do consistently with a cat than an Elise that's been set up to oversteer everywhere because of the weight distribution/wheelbase.
Certainly, that's how it's been explained to me...

Hi Dave
It was good to meet up last night.
I am Mass in the orange SLR. Do introduce yourself in the Newbie section.
Shug, I will keep your comment in mind

Are you coming up tomorrow?

Hi Paul555sti,

Thanks! - I'll always be interested in any photos you may take. Do you sell hard copies/high res copies?

David i am a complete novice, i just treated myself to a camera a couple of months ago. I go up to quite a few track nights at knockhill as i live not far from it. If i get any pictures of your car in the future i will post them up for you.
There are a few of my other efforts from that night here..
