I find that the roof itself doesn't leak it just doesn't quite fit the hole it covers...

I agree with Rich on this one.
idid however re proof mine with fabsil tent proofer.
I also met Nick form nickwax at a Knowlege transfer do in the summer - nice guy.
If you're not living on the edge you're wasting too much space!

I used Fabsil. Agree that roof itself isn't usually a leak point, but the proofing will make the fabric less prone to rotting if the car has to be left outside a lot. In fact Nick Rossi got his so well fabsil'd up that the water beaded up better on the roof than the bodywork

Yes... I just bought the NikWax Tent & Gear Proofer earlier this week, and applied it (Thursday night I think).
Got it at one of those outlet shops in McAthur Glen for £3.95 for 300ml (should be about £9). Plenty left over for a further treatment I think....
My leaky issue is due to the seal rather than the fabric, so I need to get it back to MMC soon.
I have no signature.

I use the Autoglym cleaner and waterproofing stuff. Does the job just fine. Although, it does smell a wee bit after you apply it . . .
