Stewart's SIDC Photos - 15 Sept '07

Post by Stewart » Sat Sep 15, 2007 1:46 pm

Not participating today so got up early to come along and take some photos. It was dry when I arrived but pretty baltic  I walked down to Duffus and took a few before heading back to the pits to try and blag some pax laps. It was pretty busy (especially after a couple of early red flags :( ). It started to rain slightly and I remembered I had left my roof off. Between the drizzle and the cold I decided to call it quits and head for the relative warmth of the car (still with no roof :D )

Anyway here are a handful of snaps. As it was pretty dull, some are a wee bit noisy (grainy) as I had to crank the ISO up a bit.

Enjoy

(first time I have been able to capture the colour of Gareth's car. Probably due to the light)

Apologies for the poor quality of the next one or two, but I heard tyres screech and quickly swung around and started snapping. It was worth for the last couple :D

I have a Nikon D70 with a Nikkor 70-300mm 4.5-5.6 ED VR. Nice lens but still a bit slow for today's light conditions.

I think I have a couple of you but they are slightly out of focus hence the reason for not posting. I'll have a look at stick them up.

Your avatar doesn't do your car justice as I thought it was a ruby red colour but it is much brighter than that :)

Thanks for the comments - the camera does all the work :) . I don't think I have any of you at all. I did see you out early on, but was busy snapping others. As you know there were then two long periods of red flags and I got bored - not the same when your spectating
