i personally feel you could've got a better deal
BUT as long as you are happy with the car :)

Tell me 'bout it, only gave me that because they forgot to tell me the Super Touring was in fact £1K. When I ordered the car, I was told both Touring and Super Touring was free.

I did call Lotus directly, and they said that the R model was different to the other models, and for whatever reason did have the additional cost.

... you got what you paid for but I am sure you could have got a serious discount on that little lot, but requires you to haggle - salesman (Graeme?) isn't going to give money off if he doesn't need too.

As Deano says if you are happy that is all that matters and you have got a crackin car !! Keith

I'm cool with the cost, no worries :) I would never have bought otherwise.

With regards to GAP insurance, apparently the company I am insured with offer a brand new replacement should I write her off. Which I wont :)

I think you can only get it for the first 14 days after purchase. It costs around £300 IIRC. I had it when i bought my s2 exige although thankfully never needed it! cheers Ed :)

Not a problem if you intend keeping it for a long time, just dont sell it soon or you`ll get shafted!

I will be keeping it for a good 4 or 5 years I reckon. I will only sell if I need to, otherwise my girl can have it if and when I decide to upgrade.

You could have saved an easy £1300 by not getting the hard-top, you'll only end up taking it off and never using it. 8)
