Re: Hoyabusa returns to Doune

Nice haul there - well done. love the picture at forrestburn, my favourite hill by far, hoping to et back out again in a2 in 2015 :-) Would be good to see you out on the hills again. Would like to say that the Forrestburn picture is showing my precision driving, in reality it's a hold on and look t...

2014 Scottish Hillclimb Championship

It's that time of year where the TV is full of reviews, here is a very short one of my year competing in the Hoyabusa. This was my first year entered in the SHC, since getting the car I had done all the rounds at Doune in 2012 and 2013 so was starting to get to grips with the Stirlingshire hill, For...

Re: Hoyabusa returns to Doune

After a great weekend at a SUNNY Doune I thought it was time for a Hoyabusa update and to say thank you. Firstly a thank you to Fergus and Robin who came to the rescue and sorted out the Paddle Shift system that failed at the end of last year. In my two years of competing at Doune there has never be...

Recognised his photo from his site.
With a bit of luck he got some decent pictures of the car on Sunday.

Re: Hoyabusa returns to Doune

Eric, I heard you were there on Saturday, good to hear that you are making progress S I did have a wee look at the back on Saturday as I recall a wee ding with an amusing graphic ... but it was all straight. Hoyabusa returns to Doune

A few of you were aware of where Lawrence's car had gone and it was with mixed emotions that I returned the car to Doune for it's first Hillclimb in 5 years. It was my first ever hill, so nervous was probably a bit of an understatement when I ran up the wet hill for the first time on Saturday. I too...

Re: Is buying a 100k mile audi a bad idea?

Another "Yes buy one" vote for me. Bought a 2003 one owner avant in 2006 with 90k, now at 170k. Belts have been done once in my ownership, never missed a beat. Couple of issues with central locking but other than that no problems. For that money if you are prepared to travel you should be able to ge...

Re: Building A Garage Without Planning Permission

Quick search on EBay of "wooden garage" shows quite a few two car garages for under 2k.
Fairly easy to put up, looks a bit better than the container and you can take it with you when you move or sell it on.

Re: Private plate change

Sorry did not pick up on the fact that the car is going down south. My purchaser was local so it was not going to be a problem for me to get the car into Edinburgh for an inspection if required. Might be worth a try asking your local office if they can do a quick turnaround, you may get lucky if the...

Re: Private plate change

I had exactly the same problem recently, motorhome sold within 12 hours of advertising it. I explained the situation to the purchaser, allowed him to look over the paperwork and provided photocopies for him. As H8OAG suggests, carefully word an invoice. I made it clear I was selling the motorhome wi...
