Re: Garage Floors

The carpet tiles are a very nice idea but probably not practical enough for me as I do like to get oily from time to time and also do some woodworking in there. I'm very interested in these Dotti tiles though, they look good and the cost seems reasonable. Have you ever had any issues with them lifti...

Not a fan of the colour combination but what a special example. The price doesn't seem too silly either.

Garage Floors

Good morning, We have recently built a garage and I'm currently faced with a plain concrete floor so I would like to put down some kind of paint or floor covering. In the past I have used bog standard garage floor paint which looks fine when it goes down but tends to lift under where the car tyres a...

Re: New car with a Honda engine... err, it's a Honda

congratulations on the Honda I really like that. Shows you what Honda are capable of when they put their mind to it. Their engineering capabilities are never in doubt but I wish theyd inject a bit more of this kind of visual flair into the day to day models.

6+23 Other offers are available. Your life is at risk if you don't keep up repayments. I remember my father drumming into me that the only way to buy a car was at 2 or 3 years old, let someone else take the hit on the depreciation. Once upon a time that was pure gold. Still instances where that is v...

Re: What Car to Get #3

I'm currently running a brand spanking and rather handsome Volvo S90. All the bells, all the whistles. £160+vat on the contract hire. RFL inc. Would I have ever bought a S90 with my own lump of capital ? Never. Do I feel smug as hell driving around in it for Corsa monthlies ? You betcha. Do I love i...

Re: 2020 Elise Renders

that's what I miss having moved to Porsche from Lotus, the lightweight agility of the lotus really is something special they should hold onto... :thumbsup Slight thread drift, but a 987 Boxster at 1295kg is lighter than an Evora and only marginally heavier than a S3 Exige. Given the cost and the co...

Re: Leadership debate

A dangerous trend in British politics, these televised popularity contests. Another unwelcome Americanisation as far as I'm concerned, and I stopped watching them a long time ago. Rather than judge a party by their policies, lets judge them by whoever comes out with the wittiest quips, the zingiest ...

Re: Another Skoda

I have yet to drive or own a DSG, PDK, S Tronic or whatever your manufacturer chooses to call it equipped vehicle which isn't elevated to another level by the absence of the clutch pedal. I'm currently on a DSG equipped Golf R, on the contract hire for Corsa money. It gets ragged and abused somethin...

Re: new traffic camera, A89 Broxburn

I was heading West and this is where the sign is located. I only managed to read it because I was pulling away from the lights. I didn't notice any ANPR but then I only drove past it once.

Maybe worth parking up and having a nosey around if you're driving past it regularly ?

Boxster for me all day and every day. Don't let familiarity and those slightly frumpy looks hide the fact that there's a rather special car hiding in there, much more special than you'll ever imagine until you live with one and it gets totally under your skin.

I was visiting my Sister in West Lothian at the weekend and noticed this also.

If we're talking about the same thing and it's at the traffic lights then it's equipment to monitor air quality. There is a large sign beside it saying so.

In my experience any cyclist v non cyclist chat is right up there with nationalist v non nationalist, brexit v remain or rangers v celtic. Snowflakes look away now. If in doubt take a look at some of the youtube footage posted up by cyclists or car users and the comments that ensue. For what it's wo...

Re: We Buy Any Car

For some balance. I've sold one car and one van to WBAC. On both occasions they were offering within £200-£300 of what I was expecting to achieve in a private sale. That's before I paid for advertising, fixed a couple of niggling faults that I'd have had to attend to before attempting a private sale...

Re: That is it i'm done with using Murray Lotus for good!

Porsche Edinburgh are a disgrace actually, although in fairness I've tried a couple of other Porsche dealers and they all seem to be cut from the same cloth. I'm sure there will be a good one out there somewhere but don't know where that is. An Edinburgh employee once told me that they sell out thei...
