Re: I finally got one! (Edinburgh based)

Congratulations - looks great.

Hope to see you around. I've started commuting into Edin city centre in my Evora reasonably regularly to get more use of mine but rarely if ever see another Lotus, so hope to see this being used and out and about! :thumbsup

Re: Dreaded Clutch Problem (Sport350)

Eight months. Amateur hour. I chased my claim following a bodged engine install by a garage through my credit card. The Financial Services OMbudsman are a very difficult organisation to deal with. At one point they gave me compensation for not giving me any updates. Then didn't give me any more upd...

Evora engine cover

Always felt the silver cover looked a bit dull when looking through the rear window so just finished painting mine red. Car already has red callipers behind black wheels. Some before and after pics. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190729/c74ca97e82f669ac3e0efd5e4147bf13.jpg https://uploads.tapata...

Re: Evija

Wow. Just stunning. From every angle. Loving the porous bodywork. It is so advanced the price tag is irrelevant. Feel really pleased for Lotus and can’t wait to see what comes from this in terms of more affordable road cars. Hats off to you Hethel chaps.

Maybe just as well owner isn’t on here. Sounded rather...eh...unique... with an aftermarket rear wing and multi coloured, switchable external lights

Re: Edinburgh flash floods

Ach the original link is no longer working. It showed a BMW with water up to its headlights on the corner outside Leven Lotus. I reckon it would be up to the windows of an Elise. This story has a few images of the approach road to the garage. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/news/scottish-news/edinburg...

Who sold their yellow S1 recently?

Just back from a 700+ mile road trip to North Wales in the Evora. Car was brilliant. Called into Anglesey Circuit for a look but it was shut! On lock-down for filming of 5th Gear. Also stopped overnight at Conwy. There is a tv programme on Quest called Salvage Hunters I quite like so visited the guy...

Re: How do you consume F1?

I managed to catch up with the All4 coverage before it expired. I thought the coverage was excellent and C4 have made an excellent show despite the restrictions. Adding both Stephano Domenicali and Billy Monger to the line has kept it fresh too. Watched the French GP highlights this evening. What a...

Re: Niki Lauda - loss of a legend

Great insight there, Dickson. Value of that Autosport just shot up a bit eh ;-) Found it. First time trying Tapatalk for pics - hope they appear below https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190521/5bc87b849101fccc1c8d1a3048082806.jpg https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190521/e52ed2a67b87704fe951a342496...

Re: Niki Lauda - loss of a legend

Had the pleasure of meeting and chatting to him back in 2007. Spotted him in the Emirates lounge in Dubai when awaiting my connecting flight to Australia to go to the F1 GP. Had an Autosport on me and it had an article on Niki so wandered over and asked him to sign it. Slight apprehension as he had ...
