Ah, that explains a bit. Never noticed the amber front indicators, a give away for a 160 it's had front end work.

Re: Anyone with an S1 111S or Sport 160?

I've heard of them, been around for years.

The incorrect pet thing is just PH being a bit sh*t, happens with a lot of the cars they list. NA S2 exiges tend to have 141bhp or something similar on there.

Re: Thanks to Kenneth Brown Motor Engineers

So after very little use over the winter, I took my Elise out a few weeks ago. There was something not quite right in how it was running. Gave Kenneth a call, he suggested a few things that I could check, however I was unable to solve the problem, so booked the car in to them for Friday. Kenneth wa...

Re: Exhaust back box - Exige S1

The original janspeed was used on the S1 Elise as well, but with a twin pipe end trim clamped on instead of the exige single oval.

I'd imagine it's unlikely you'd find a great example of either now though

Re: S1 Tyres

https://flic.kr/p/2dXvC8N https://wiki.seloc.org/a/Tyres From this page says 195 came about with the 135/111s and 160’s. Also says you shouldn’t use a 195 front as you need an extension lip to cover the wheel. There’s a link to a lotus page in there with official guidance but I can’t get it to open...

Re: S1 Tyres

Didn’t the 195/225 thing come about when they fitted that size to the 111S and everyone else copied ? Not sure, but 160s always had those sizes as victories are an inch wider all round. The rest 111S wheels are half an inch wider I think? Anyway, I loved the AD08Rs in the wet, I thought they were e...

Top anorak marks to Woody.

I am getting rusty.

Well at least he still has an S1.

I only still have it as otherwise there'd be no purpose to a vast chunk of what's inside my head.

Re: S1 Tyres

There’s a Yoko Advan Neova in Lotus spec and sizes. Might now be called C-drive model? Think they also do AD07 tyres in S1 sizes. Finally, I was always a fan of Toyo T1S then T1R for road tyres on my S1. Great value and also brilliant in the wet. There were Kumhos that some used too but check model...

That would be me! I spotted another Evora a few weeks ago on my way to work, it is unusual to see them!

The forum seems to now be blocked in my work so haven't been on here much. :(

I see a blue one quite often in the southside  There's at least one more around the corner too.

Worth giving Euan at https://www.gibsonandgoold.co.uk/
a call for advice. Is/was Gooldie on here. They supplied and fitted our stove but I think they also do fireplaces.
Ali

Well they sold us a fireplace nearly 30 years ago.

Re: Fenwick/Kilmarnock

Not Kilmarnock, but I use Andy McFadzean at AM Mechanical Services, he has a place at Heathfield. https://am-mechanicalservices.co.uk

I served my time with Andy and know he's good and has worked on plenty of more interesting cars over the years.
