Re: Anyone bought a new car recently?

As mentioned in the winter tyre thread, we’re one less member of the Skoda appreciation society now. Our Octavia vRS which we bought new in April 2011 died on Feb 22. Evora and Elise. The best combo.

Well done.

PS. I still have the Evora badge if you need it. Never re-fitted it after we sprayed the bumper …

I hadn't realised it was missing. I'll take it off you though.

Re: Red Elise on the Galston/M77 road

Definitely not me, Elise has been off the road for * cough * a period of time, it's titanium and we moved to Glasgow 5 years ago. 😂

Internationally Blank whippet Pete has just bought a red Evora though?

Haven't used for fibreglass, but have been great for steel cars for us.

There's a body shop on south Street always has lambos and other interesting cars outside, no idea of the name. About halfway between Luxe and BAE.

I always used Abbotsinch in Kilmarnock, though I'm not sure if the original owner has retired now, but he always had a good team. Tbh, I think I usually jacked the car up for them.

Re: A new Lotus you say?

A short tale in which our hero travels in the wilderness and returns, victorious. With a new car. (TL;DR I phoned a Lotus expert for advice on buying a Porsche and bought a Lotus from him) A 911 is not a Lotus I’ve always wanted a 911, I think ever since seeing the Big Chill where William Hurt drov...

I didn't love the NSS on my S1, though that was a while ago. They didn't last week at all either with at least one failing within 13000 miles / 2 years.

X76 from killie might a a shout if you can find somewhere in killie to park up? A lot of folks get on and off on Glasgow road just before the route joins the A77 which is a fairly residential area so should be easy to dump the car.
The very bus stop I mean.

Re: Glasgow commuting knowledge

By the time you get to Shields road the worst of the traffic is long over. When I was coming Southside to Monkton each day at 7:30 I'd often see traffic going into the city Q'd from where I joined silverburn all the way up the hill at Darnley. When we were in Symington and Jo committed to Stobhill f...
