Edinburgh by bicycle (NLC)

Thought I'd share this little gem.
Get past the first 60 seconds and it is quite good......

Re: Croft - Sunday 10-5-2009

Apparently 98dB drive-by metering is being installed.

Only stock oem exhausts likely to pass this?

Re: Croft - Sunday 10-5-2009

This has just been cancelled, (I was meant to be going as part of the Hondas-on-Track session, sharing with LoT)

NIMBYs winning the battle it seems.

Shame, it was a great fun track, with a nice drive down from Edinburgh (A68)

Re: Ingliston Memories

^^^^Indeed Kenny. The lack of trees in this view of Clark's adds to the bleakness of this KH picture. http://www.ingliston-circuit.co.uk/photos/1982/assets/images/db_images/db_p161.jpg I also noted a number of Ingliston racing pics naming Ian Forrest as the driver.....I presume he's the KH Ian Forre...

Ingliston Memories

Just found this website which I thought would be interesting for those of us who witnessed our first live motorsport at this venue.

Cracking collection of photos from early 70s to early 80s.

Some of the machinery was fantastic!

Re: Bit of a bugger.........

Hospital have just confirmed that I have Osteoporosis, so will have to make a few changes. My mother was diagnosed with the same thing 15 years ago. She got a course of drugs and her bone density improved massively. The disease barely affects her now, in her late 70s. Admittedly though, she doesn't...

Re: Under 18's and Helmets

What's the current age limit (lower!) for pax's at KH?

Friend of mine wants to take his son round and has signed up for the SIDC in March.

I think his son is 12 or so.

Re: Honda to pull out of F1?

Think of Honda as the Northern Rock. Have a laugh at them for a while. Then watch as the Bank of Scotland, RBS, Lehman, Goldman etc follow suit. BMW dealers are offering 5 years free servicing "if only someone would buy our cars". BMW finances are far weaker than Honda's Daimler Benz are in even dee...

Re: POLL: SE usage survey

Despite not owning a Lotus, I read Scottish Elises regularly as it is like a local Pistonheads. Can be very informative, for everything from local news, traffic reports etc. to upcoming trackdays, track advice etc. :thumbsup

Lidl Car Stuff - This Thursday (NLC)

Some good deals on little knick knacks for the car available from Lidl this Thursday. e.g. A wheel stand for the garage for those track wheels (with a cover and guages for pressure and depth) £7.99 Here's a link to an Edinburgh store's items. Glasgow will no doubt have more (e.g.I know some English ...

Re: Knockhill Anticlockwise

Andy - there was a sprint held there this year. Mac Yeah, only way onto EF this year was by sprinting. Very poor value, but great fun. KH backwards does sound slightly hairy from the guys who've done it, but it'd be a challenge I'm sure most regulars would be interested in having the opportunity to...
