Poor wether and lack of motivation meant I pushed her into the garage afew weeks ago. Better weather and half term hols means that I've now got an new Alternator fitted. Sorted newer wiring into the old connector (couldn't find a new connector to match...) and hey presto we're back in business... Ju...

Re: electrics gone a bit random query...

Robin, thank you for fab, helpful message reply. I've not been able to look at this until today. As you suspected, fresh battery in, key in, start engine, light stays on... Fuses seem OK. Looks like I'm on the hunt for a regulator and connector. From a cursory google session, they seem hard to find....

Re: electrics gone a bit random query...

Thanks for responses so far chaps - I'd put the battery on the bench and it's charging as we speak, Regardless - I'll tackle it all next year..! Hard to tell what the prognosis on it is - but I have a sneaky feeling a new one will be on the way - at least. Fingers crossed that it's that simple... :)

Hello All - Happy New Year... Feels like I have a dodgy earth issue but I thought I'd throw this up on here to get any other opinions..? Took the Elise out for a spin to Kenmore yesterday - didn't make it back to Pitlochry without a tow back from an indulgent friend in Aberfeldy - eek..! The car die...

Suspension Upgrade

Hello lovely people... I'm about to press "buy now" on a set of Nitron Street Series for my S2'K'. The current suspension is well past it's sell-by date, and I'm going to bite that £700 bullet - eek. My local garage in Dunkeld (GM - Gordon is good guy, knows cars but not Lotus really...) will fit. M...

Re: Admiral not paying out on claims..

I had a terrible time with Admiral this year. I had a minor bump in tne ELise (all fixed now, but took long long time...) Problem was, I had only declared points in my totting up 3 years (3 points). I had another 3 points from a year earlier, which although no longer "counting" are still on my recor...

Newbie - with a 'stuck' immobiliser...

Hello Forum Members, Shoulda joined before something bad happened - then you don't look like a selfish numpty... anyway; My S2 (2002) K-series won't start. Seems like the immobilser is banjaxed somehow. Have done the suggested hold-the-two-buttons-down-on-the-cobra-fob thing, as well disconnect/reco...
