Re: 37" TV Advice.
For you, viewing distance seated, would be a maximum of 10', i'd guess, but don't worry, go for the 42" if you can wall mount (probably cheaper and better choice than 37"), you'll soon get used to it and be trying to think of reasons to justify a bigger set-up You're not wrong there. The 42" I like...

Re: 37" TV Advice.
Max, I'll cancel the order for the new tv and we'll all just come round to your place instead. 100"!! :thumbsup If I thought the 42" wouldn't be too big I'd go for it. As the room is smallish (9ft x 12ft) I thought about wall mounting the tv to save floor space. Only putting in a bed settee and some...

Re: 37" TV Advice.
It was that charity footy mach, I think it was ITV4. Source was arial via freeview box. Agreed though, some channels are poor. I watch the Real Madrid channel now and then and you'd think sometimes you were watching a 3d movie without the glasses. Definition is awful. My new one will likely be arial...

Re: 37" TV Advice.
Whats it like on the sports viewing? Watched aome football on a friends 32" Samsung on Sunday night, an 4 years old set admittedly, and it was awful. Jarred image, blur on movement etc. You have any probs?
Like the set mind you. And the price!

Re: 37" TV Advice.
I've got a 42" Plasma in the main room and its excellent but the other room is much smaller hence the need for a smaller set. I saw a 42" LG Plasma yesterday in Comet reduced to £399. Razor surround etc, stunning tv and great price. With the razor surround its a good few inches smaller in overall si...

37" TV Advice.
Gents and Gentesses, Looking for a 37" tv for one of the rooms. Can't decide on LCD or Plasma. Budget is around £400. Will mostly be watching sports, a few dvd's and a little PS3 but, as I'm used to a bigger Plasma in our main room, I'm hesitating to go the LCD route with stories from bygone days of...

Re: Lotus accessories
tayvallich0, A word of warning. That 111r of mine that you now have doesn't do shopping bags. If you continue to treat her in this manner you'll wake one morning to find she has headed back to me. I had my lawnmower in the front seat once. There wasn't much grass to cut but it fairly trimmed the car...

Re: Oil price
Yes Tut, and I don't know if anyone else has noticed but the energy companies are now mailing / contacting existing customers trying to entice them into a 2 year fixed rate at slightly less than everyone is on now. They anticipate that the price of oil / gas etc will be going down dramatically so if...

Re: Buying an S2 Elise
And well she might be grinning like the aforementioned cat, its mine she's bought!! After the test drive I gave her she's worried enough about dry roads never mind the wet ones! I suggested that she gets herself on here as I know you lot will look after her well. And she wants to do track days! My p...

Re: Car Sales: Is this safe???
Keith,
Worry not, this is not a long term decision. We're doing some work at the house at the moment and funds are required. I'll give it a wee while then have another look to see whats about.
Stuart.

Re: Car Sales: Is this safe???
Gents, Thanks for your advice in all of this. I didn't reply to the mail and have heard nothing since. The car is now sold to a lady from Argyll and Bute (I'm not sure if that can be classed as a genuine european buyer) and I'm just waiting for the funds to be sent (Money order from Lloyds bank). Th...

Re: Car Sales: Is this safe???
Thanks gents. Advice taken. The English, punctuation and general layout is poor and that was what alerted me in the first place. The bit re the shipping agent turned the red light on. a4drk, had a dutch guy on last week but wasn't sure about him either. Maybe I've got too much of a suspicious mind. ...

Car Sales: Is this safe???
I've had a few interested buyers in the Elise but one of them wants to go ahead with the purchase. I'm still nervous with the overseas bit generally but one of these guys has sent me a mail outlining the details. I'm sorry this is so long but do any of you smell a rat here or is it genuine? His mail...
