Thanks Mac, I'm touched! Hope to make a track-day once the hill-climbing season has finished.

Re: New Arrival NLC

Eilidh is looking good, Campbell. Potential mountain bike champ I reckon. Jack has now completed his first autotest - it was bin-day and so lots of wheelie bins left on the pavement in our street. I couldn't resist adjusting them into chicane/slalom positions and then driving Jack at top speed in hi...

Re: New Arrival NLC

Thanks for the messages. I'll pass them onto Mum and Jack. Good to see that he is already developing the correct SE driving pose for exiting the hairpin at KH :thumbsup lol Think bubble - "Daddy has been too heavy with the right foot again. I'll show him how it should be done." Jamie - Entries are i...

Re: Upon reflection

Hi Kevin, I hope the neck is not too sore and you get the insurance sorted - don't be put off a Lotus though! I like road-runs (although I haven't done ones for ages). In the 'good' old days the cars were pretty much all the same - Elise S1s with a standard K-series engine in them and the drivers we...

Re: Scottish Sprint & Hillclimb Calendar

2010 dates are out now. they are available on the scottish hill-climb champioship forum. First event is 11th April at Kames followed by 17/18th at Doune. One non-championship round to get excited about is the Ingleston sprint - this is around whats left of the old grand-prix track. This is on the 1s...

Re: Bad news - Brian Jamieson

Mac rang me last night and gave me this sad news. I, like you, am really shocked as I did not know he had been ill. Whenever I go to a trackday, inevitably I am excited about driving on track again, but the real enjoyment is meeting up with friends. Brian was one of those and I was always pleased to...

Re: First snow

Hi Campbell (and happy Christmas BTW) How was it near you this morning? I got snowed in (even with the Volvo) which is the first time in ten years! I and a few civic minded neighbours decided to clear the main road into our scheme with what shovels we had. Got to keep the wheels of Falkirk industry ...

Re: Road Kill...

A friend of mine was driving his in-laws somewhere and hit a pheasant square onto the windscreen. The windscreen smashed and the pheasant atomised inside the car covering everything with a film of pheasant intestines. Car was wrecked and after three times dry-cleaning his suit he eventually threw it...

(Pops up unexpectedly)

I am going hill-climbing this year purely and simply becasue I told him once that I would. It will be emotional for sure - but in a happy way :)

Burping and farting is the reason to have carbs - it also scares dogs and small children when you pass them - reason enough for me!

Re: Ferrari 348

Hi, As Jim said I ran a 348 for four years, selling it this year. Insurance is cheap (classic), minor services are easy and therefore cheap. The major one is an engine out job but I found a great garage in Shotts that did a full cam-belt service for £700 including parts and oil. Mine was very reliab...
