Re: HGF repair in Aberdeen or the shire.

Is it carden, or corden in aberdeen.
Guy there worked for murray motors when they had the lotus franchise in aberdeen.
No idea if they are any good, but did a full service at normal car prices on my lotus s1.

Re: No Loti outside Murrays

Was in on monday, place is a shambles, staff completely uninterested in being helpful. Wont be back. Walked into a flock of lotus, uninterested guy directed us to lotus show room without actually explaining how to get to it , and that didn't have any lotus, and guy on the desk wasn't close to being ...

Re: Opinions on an S1

Well, it's the third cheapest on pistonheads, (others are higher milage) cheap/comparable across most of car sites so wouldn't have thought so, but thanks for the advice.

Re: Regret selling?

I loved my first on, but sold it for an exige, never really bonded with the exige and missed the elise, so i got rid of the exige for another elise. Unfortunately all the jobs around the house that i put off for the last 15years, suddenly are needing done (apparently it's not that suddenly) added to...

Re: S1 Advice

If you want a 160, or 111s i would get one that was factory built that way, or a bell and colville rather than buy a standard one and try to do it yourself.
My dad always said " if you want a fast car, buy a fast car. Don't buy a slow car and try to make it fast"

Re: S1 Advice

No worries. Will do. If you bring the list that you get from here, it will give you something to work through. As far as i know i'm not hiding anything. O:) Thing that annoyed me the most when i was looking was when they stated full service history, but only had four to six stamps, and no paperwork....

Re: S1 Advice

I'm currently selling mine, it's in dundee. If you are local and fancy a look i'll happily show you around it, and point out some of the things that go wrong with them (but haven't gone wrong with mine) and you can take your time and have a poke around. I've got a bit of interest, and am hopeful it ...

Re: Giving away information for an hpi check.

Yeah, i know they can get a lot from dvla etc. Just worried that if they have all that info they could contact dvla and get a new V5 sent out to them. I know from my hpi checks, they will give you the info, but need the other details for your garantee. At the same time i don't want to piss off a pot...

Giving away information for an hpi check.

Hi, need a bit of advice, got someone interested in elise, but they want the following information -
Vin chasssis number
V5 document serial number
V5 issue date.

I'm just wondering if giving away all that information is too much, and leaves me open to fraud ?
Any info on this would be appreciated.
