Re: Remote control off road buggy
It's a shame they are RTR, the building is half the fun ;) Quite right - building R/C cars has kept me quiet over many a winters day. I've got a 7 or 8 cars which I'm going to sell, from entry level Tamiya up to a TRF 418 race chassis, all properly built and nearly all with brushless motors. If any...

James,
Take it to Andy at Michaelmuir Garage in Ythanbank - they're good, old school and very thorough. It's where I take mine.

Re: Ownership Experience - Audi TT/Mini Cooper S
If you can get away with only 2 seats I've got a Kingfisher Blue Mk1 TT Roadster 225 which I'm going to sell shortly - full history, had the cambelt, water pump and a whole raft of other stuff sorted just after I bought it. Both the TT and the Cooper are good cars, both small and both lack boot spac...

Re: The history of diesel - a Beeb must-warch
A very good programme. Never thought I'd say I want a diesel engine, but that Napier Deltic is quite a piece of engineering.

Re: Got Me
I got done at 97 on the dualler out of Ellon in the Porsche. Trafpol said it was 1mph over his allowance for a fixed penalty, so a trip to court was in order. This was with a laser gun mind you, only you know the standard of your driving that might be on tape if he was following you which will all g...

Re: She's electric
I had a drive of the roadster about 4 years ago. Had it not been eye wateringly expensive, I'd have bought one. As I read somewhere this week, once you've driven one you'll realise how antiquated the internal combustion engine is. The sooner they get the small saloon to market the better. It'll be a...

Re: Dubai hotel fire
We were in the Address Hotel Dubai Mall, the sister hotel a stones' throw away and was in Neos, a bar on the 63rd floor of the hotel that caught fire just a couple of nights before. Given the complete chaos that was present in the downtown area thanks to the security and police, I'm amazed no one wa...

The RFR-geometry of...
