Does self servicing these things affect value? Doesn't bother me personally, but how does the market in general react? One of close friends is a mechanic so could do it at home fairly easily.

Thanks for the welcome! The car has Gaz coilovers (geo'd last year), TD wheels in the Lotus 16/17 configuration, Vauxhall Sport Exhaust and an aftermarket heater and roof lining. I picked up a modified VX220 a few weeks ago:



Only just got around to signing up! Might be keen to come along to a few meets and will hopefully be at Knockhill over the summer.

I've used a guy called Warren who owns North East Autobody who seems to do a decent job. He cut back rust on 2 arches on my old Focus RS and replaced them to a good standard. He's also done a new panel on a Fiesta for me which is spot on. Think he is relatively expensive but highly regarded. Someone...
