I was under the impression that it is non vvc, how would I know just by looking?

Would anyone be able to tell me if my 2000 S1 has an automatic or manual cambelt tensioner? Looking to change the belt but there is a few options on elise parts.

After talking a little about Audi engines in another thread I can only assume you have went for the 225 Robin?
I had a read about the differences myself and have a rough idea how I would do things, so would be very interested to hear how you are doing it.

I think the rev happy nature may have a lot to do with it. Lazy torque from the ubiquitous 1.8T doesn't really feel like an Elise. Campbell - I can see why people would opt for the Honda with it's rev happy lesser torque characteristics, but surely there is no lack of 1.8t 20v engines in the world.

I take it there isn't too many Audi Elise owners around then? The focus seems to be mainly on Honda conversions.
