Re: New(ish) car .. not really Lotus Content and a long wait..

It looks incredible, just able lost my ear and gave myself whiplash when you drove past the barbers in the ferry this morning while I was getting my hair cut!

Sounded ace too! Really stands out in a sea of drab xovers.

Liam Lawson @elite in Stonehaven does a decent job. He’s a sound lad too.

Re: Young driver insurance

Pay the money keep your nose clean and the figure will drop steadily. Exige at 21 and Elise at 24? You are doing fine, young man :-) actually it is what he spent his deposit for a house on :D Well when the other option was a pokey flat and crippling debt, applied man maths made the lotus look like ...

Re: New Elise Sprint

Mark...Seeing which way a Golf R went in an Elise 1.6 is not really the point IMHO. The Evora NA is a brilliant car and bought 2nd hand, amazing VFM. It wouldn't see which way a Golf R went either. Especially in the rain... Of course you are right in some ways - the Elise has always been more about...

Re: Exhust replacement.

Cheers for the offer Paul, but I've got just got a decat off eBay. I don't think yours would fit being a rover too?

David, Does the decat make much of a difference to the noise level?

Re: Young driver insurance

Ouch! I got my exige at 21 with 9points and managed to get insurance for it for about £1100, it's dropped quite considerably I'm 24 now and it's about £700, admiral and the multi car have always been a winner for me! I found most of the specialists tend not to want to look at you until you are 25/30...

Re: We Buy Any Car

Jesus that's low! I put my exige in last year out of curiosity (bad regretted it every harassing email since) and they offered £14k which I didn't think was too bad for a trade deal!

Exhust replacement.

Hi all, The larini on my s2 n/a exige has developed a rattle on idle indicating that there is a baffle(s) loose. I was looking at replacing it with a 6" 2bular or maybe a 7" with a decat? Has anyone got any experience of doing similar or have one in the north east I could hear? Alternatively is ther...
