Re: Lotus' last combustion-engined sports car incoming

Elise's only real claim to fame is that it still weighs very little. But do they tho, modern cars are built with a huge focus on economy, keeping mass down is a large aspect of delivering this (less so for electric/hybrid). I looked at this in comparison to my Exige S2 vs Laura’s little Audi A1 a w...

Re: Lotus' last combustion-engined sports car incoming

I’m hoping whatever this is is A: good and 3: arrives just the right time for getting out the M4. If not it’ll be an Exige 410 or something

Re: My Ombudsman case

During my debacle, I was told to avoid the TMO like the plague. They have no teeth in ruling in any arbitration purely a voluntary code, there was some silly stat I found that basically said most garages just ignore rulings against then and shut down coms. The vindication when it goes your way is ni...

Re: Lawyer advise required.

Agreed. Also, possibly worth checking with home insurance to see if you can get legal cover through them. Good luck. Most home insurance policy’s have exclusions for transactions involving motor vehicles. I found that out when I tried to used my legal cover for my 350 woes. Check the small print mi...

Re: Leven car company Administration

100% I’ll have a lotus again PDQ if they open on Heathfield road in Ayr! Drive past there (pre lockdown) every other week to visit the ‘rents and friends as originally from Prestwick/Ayr. I personally think it’s a good move some great roads round there for a test drive. Hamilton not too bad for serv...

Re: Dreaded Clutch Problem (Sport350)

I live in hope that this is the case! I hope so too, for a sense of normality more than anything else :thumbsup Love your Exige by the way Simon. The carbon seats, carbon front access panel and open gate stick really make the difference 8) most of the best bits from a 380 ! looks amazing. Best of l...

Re: Dreaded Clutch Problem (Sport350)

I don't think you should let my experience put you off a V6 it was more about the warranty support and the dealer than the car, they are epic and otherwise very reliable. I know the guy who eventually got mine and he's driven it hard done several track days in it now and I'ts fine since Craig sorted...

Re: Hot Tub

Cheers Lads, we’ve actually narrowed it down to a tub stocked by GrizzlyBear they seem to get decent recommendations on the Facebook group I joined and the tubs are US made and CEC energy rated so so running costs should be good. Good to know there a personal recommendation in there. Got the landsca...

Hot Tub

Anyone put one in? Care to share your experience? We’re in the process of lining up the landscaper to put the base in and extend the patio. Just looking to try and decide which hot tub to go for and interested in anyone’s experience. Running costs are a top priority along with reliability so don’t m...

Re: Knockhill, Saturday 21st March 9-1

I think given how things are panning out it would be pretty irresponsible For KH to proceed. I was very much ‘this’ll pass, won’t be that bad, a few minor changes’ etc etc. But it’s rapidly escalating into a total clusterfcuk. I’m in WhatsApp chats with a few GP’s and they have totally changed their...
