Re: Dreaded Clutch Problem (Sport350)

Agreed they don't move fast, in my case the bank hadn't concluded the complaint but I was within rights to refer in the time scales so I logged with the financial ombudsman anyway, it wasn't till some time later they stepped in whilst the bank were still working on it. I found them helpful and quite...

Re: Best hot hatch for £10k

I properly just laughed out loud when I drove an i3 it’s like being attached to a huge rubber band and launched forward. Handle great too.

Re: Best hot hatch for £10k

French is out. You're missing out on the undisputed hot hatch king then - Megane RS250 Yep, I had the same opinion as you (never had French, let alone a hot hatch), but honestly, the hype and consistent magazine test wins are fully deserved. Does all the hot hatch stuff easily - practical, 4 seats ...

I just found a great car on Auto Trader:

That’s never gonna tripod or lift off oversteer you into a hedge backwards which is what a good hot hatch should do. So I agree with Dom bit dull and understeery

Re: Best hot hatch for £10k

Man maths your budget up to an Evora by selling the kids legs? Jokes aside, ep3 type R would come in significantly under budget even for a good one and pretty bombproof and they are a right hoot. A ‘teg might stretch the hatchback definition and practicality requirements a bit but worth a look if yo...

Surely you can’t overlook Renault here, Clio might be a bit small but an RS Meg would certainly entertain?

I wonder if it never went up the hill at Goodwood due to fear of the VW monster?
Saving it for Hammond to crash on topgear. Plus as I said in bookfarce parts are on back order anyway!

Re: Yokohama AD08R discontinued

Was it not the same when we went from the AD08 to the AD08r deep suspicion and wariness turned out better.

I don’t have these dilemmas now... Cup2 and that’s about it choice wise on 19/20 rims.

Has anyone actually driven on the new compound? You never know it might be OK, gasp might even be better. Bunch of metathesiophobics. lol

Admittedly the R compound ones were very good so its a tough gig for them...

Re: SE BMW M2 Club

Non comp has N55 engine with single twin scroll turbo and sounds good. Comp has S55 engine with twin single scroll turbos. Essentially two independent 3cyl engines bolted together and sounds depending on who you ask a range of sh*t to all right.
