Re: Your Top 10 Cars - ever

Here's my list, I've had the pleasure of owning these old skool motors apart from the Porsche, still own a bunch of them too, none of it modern but they make me smile: Lancia Delta Integrale Evoluzione I Lotus Exige S1 Eunos VR Limited Audi A2 Tdi 75 (remapped) Alfa Romeo 156 GTA Sportwagon Peugeot ...

Re: New(ish) car .. not really Lotus Content and a long wait..

It is a thing of beauty and I do think the Busso especially in 3.2 guise is a very worthy substitute for the original Dino engined Stratos. But don't you think you should have gone electric :ROFL

Re: Anyone bought a new car recently?

That is most awesome! New cars are great but seeing new old stuff just puts a smile on my face that bit more. I bet it sounds pretty characterful with the twin webers and rorty looking exhaust. Enjoyable miles to be had I'm sure!

Re: Knockhill track sessions

Ah yes of course spectating isn't allowed yet. I think I'll see what is planned in September with SIDC and perhaps book for that day, meanwhile keep an eye out on the spectator situation at Knockers as I'm still curious what these days are like. I suppose the marshalling is key really, it doesn't m...

Re: Help.

Unfortunately I am in Edinburgh tomorrow so won’t be back until 5pm so that may not suit anyone? Yup had a red S1 Exige which I should never have sold! After 5 will be too late for me tomorrow, sorry. Might be able to do Saturday. However, if you've 2 broken springs... What condition are the damper...

Re: Help.

So a full swap of springs all round then!

I will happily help if I can and if timing works (morning only is possible for me) probably best PM to sort something out.

I take it from your Avatar you have (had) an Exige S1 ?

Re: Help.

I'd be happy to lend a hand too if needed - I'm just up the road in SE Glasgow. My DIY skills are better than they used to be but these other guys are the pros you need really. I'll be available some of Friday. Is this turning into a mini Lotus meet? ;)

Re: Knockhill track sessions

Good advice guys and like you suggest Campbell perhaps a good excuse to have a recce first. I'm just so tempted to get my Exige back on track after finally getting it to run really rather nicely having balanced the throttle bodies (with expert advice through hugely knowledgeable folks on Exiges.com)...

Knockhill track sessions

What's the general consensus on Knockhill trackdays / track evenings? I mean from the perspective of driver etiquette etc. compared to an SIDC run event? There are a few being held over this weekend from Friday evening through to Sunday. Still space on the Friday and Sunday sessions. I'm tempted but...

Re: MTB spec. 29 or 27.5 wheels

A lot of opinion out there on wheel sizes for mountain bikes... is it a bike for cross country, all-mountain or downhill? I ride a 29er full suss that is my 'do it all' bike. I tried it out of curiosity as my first 29er and it just fitted me really well so a lot is to do with the finding a bike with...

Re: My Ombudsman case

Nice effort. I like to see issues like this chased to the end as a matter of principle it is important otherwise these practices become ingrained and continue to be practised as the norm. The process however being so drawn out would stop many people continuing which does raise questions why it is se...

Re: Lawyer advise required.

Well as a positive a friend of mine got scammed for the purchase of campervan, full funds transferred through what appeared to be an ebay link. Also very professional outfit. He realised soon after making the transfer that he hadn't actually logged into his ebay account. The site was a fraudulent cl...
