Body work recommendations
Hi Folks, Needing a bit of paint work done on the Elise and looking for some recommendations in the Inverclyde / Glasgow area. Unfortunately the car was sat outside for its first winter this year and I have found a few of the dreaded paint blisters which need attention so experience of dealing with ...

Green V6 - Wishaw sports centre
I was sat in the work van when spotted. Very nice, never realised how much bigger they are compared to the S1

Re: The classic daily!
Well I got the car back today and it is driving perfectly. So far so good! The windows have been adjusted so the gap is much smaller now and I doubt much rain would get in. I purchased an elemental shower cap just to be safe, it is Scotland after all. The speed sensor has been replaced and the spee...

Re: Intermittent speedometer issue - S1 Elise
Thanks for the reply guys. I was sure it was not a S1 trait as I did loads of reading on possible problems prior to buying the car. It was not working during the test drive but the rest of the car was in such good condition I decided to buy the car as long as it was fixed. It needed an MOT so I was ...

Intermittent speedometer issue - S1 Elise
Hi Folks, I recently purchased a S1 Elise and I'm having issues with the speedometer not moving at all and then when it does come to life it reads approximately 10mph less. The garage have swapped the speed sensor but claim that this is just a S1 Elise trait and most take a while to start working. S...

Re: The classic daily!
Welcome! I may be able to help with the cam cover. I've just had my S2 declared a total loss after a recent bit of off-roading. I'm waiting on a valuation from my insurer but if I decide not to buy it back I may be able to take off the cam cover before it's taken to salvage. Sent from my Nexus 7 us...

Re: The classic daily!
I picked the cover up used off a member on here who was doing a Honda conversion on his S2 :thumbsup I don't suppose you remember how much you paid for it? I have found one for sale but its a bit more than I was expecting. welcome! :welcome My old S1 lived outside too, I fitted the S2 cover over my...

Re: The classic daily!
welcome! :welcome My old S1 lived outside too, I fitted the S2 cover over my cam cover and it stopped any moisture issues immediately. Touching wood here but neither my S1 or S2 leaked at all, as posted above window adjustment should keep you dry unless the water is coming through the roof itself??...

Re: The classic daily!
Hi Colin, Welcome along. Roof - don't think a hardtop will make it any more watertight, but make sure the windows are adjusted properly - they can change it from a flood to a drip. S1 production tolerances being what they are, they might need re-adjusted if you do put a hardtop on it. Plug tubes - ...

The classic daily!
http://i.imgur.com/qJ6ylqV.jpg Hi Folks, I drooled over the S1 Elise for many years and a couple of weeks ago I finally got my own to drool over! I'm absolutely the worst at buying cars and the first Elise I went to view I bought. Unfortunately I have already had some teething problems but the Gara...
