S1 Elise

Spread the word if you can to some sensible people that know their way around an Elise. I advertised on Autotrader & Pistonheads, it's been a few years since I've sold privately and forgot about the joys of being inundated by twats, scammers & timewasters !! The car was good before with no problems however I have just spent around £5k on a full body off refresh which I completed over the winter so now it is properly s...

Re: Summer Rad upgrade

I went for the £200 all alloy job from Elise Parts with an upgraded fan and new silicon hoses seems a fair improvement over the standard one although only done about 20miles since fitting it ! No complaints though

Re: rear upper wishbone install

I had to use a bit of gentle persuasion to get mine back in place as it was a tight fit. Piece of wood and a mallet got it in place. Bushes obviously need to be driven all the way home and square due to the tolerances

I want somebody that knows what they are doing and will be prepared to add / remove shims as required for camber / caster etc. Also is the 340r road spec seen as the one...

S1 wishbone banana

My refresh of the S1's suspension was going well until I started on the last corner, Rear O/S. The lower wishbone has a slight bend in it I also noticed the tie bar to be slightly bent although I have a new one of those to go on. I assume my wishbone is scrap ?? All other wishbones on the car seem f...

Re: Newbie loads of questions !

Yes I did get new mounts they do appear to be handed but will only fit individually to one side otherwise they clash with the chassis. Certainly looks strange though ?
