Photography - Updates

As stated in my other thread for C7-Steve's Exige V6, I'll post some updates on what I've been up to recently with my photography. Most recent shoot was of a lovely Mclaren 570GT, only the one pic to post for now but will chuck up a few more later: https://c1.staticflickr.com/3/2893/33570259392_9017...

Re: F1

More mechanical grip. Less aerodynamic grip. Ony been talking about it for a couple of decades. Yup - remove stupid front wings (costs down) and rear (increasing overtaking opportunities). Downforce from smooth bodywork only. Think of all the prime advertising space and revenue they'd lose though!

Re: F1

I missed it, have not yet bothered to watch the highlights.

On another note, the Mclaren/Honda situation is going worse than expected. It's a shame to see Alonso in such a useless car, that has the added benefit of trying to vibrate it's self to pieces.

Re: Bye, Bye Lou Lou.. (Shortlist added)

A weekend car that has both moderate practicality as well as fulfilling track duties, that won't break the bank. Depending what is considered breaking the bank, (if it were my budget) an MX5 would be the most cost effective, whether it be a mk1/mk2 that gets Turbo'd, Supercharged, ITB'd further down...

Re: More speed cameras

I drive to Glasgow 3/4 times a month, I thought the 22 mile stretch of average speed camera between Perth and Stirling was bad enough, now we get another 50 odd miles! Stuck behind the dumplings who go 60 'just in case'. In rush hour it may help with flow (probably not), but off peak times it'll be ...

SBReid_Photography (C7Steve Exige V6 - Photoshoot)

So following my thread I posted a few weeks ago here:( http://www.scottishelises.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=42726 ) I met up with @C7Steve for a shoot of his yellow Exige V6, I'd like to say thanks to Steve for standing about in the freezing cold whilst I ran about with a light in the pitch dark....

Re: Young driver insurance

One thing I did notice that surprised me though was that my quote dropped if I chose to start my coverage 2 or 3 weeks later than the date I was looking. Was getting very expensive quotes for insuring it from the next day, but set it to the end of that month and it knocked £300 or so off the price....

Scott, I am in Aberdeen too and I would easily meet you one night for some photography if you want. Any ideas for backdrop or venues? Steve. Yellow Exige V6. Ps That is me in my old Silver Elise in your picture with Kinger in his old White Exige V6. I had a cracking run with Stu and Jamie (Easty) o...

Re: Photography

Scott, did you see that we are meeting up this Sunday at Formartines near Tarves? http://www.scottishelises.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=42701&start=45 tut I hadn't seen that, thanks for letting me know, may be too short notice this time but I'll see what I can do. Formartines does do cracking food!

Re: North Coast 500

We did this in May last year, managed to borrow the girlfriends dad's Porsche Boxster for the trip. Absolutely loved it, started in Aberdeen to Perth, up the west coast to loop skye then the NC500 round to Inverness and back to Aberdeen via the Lecht. Including the night before and night after (coll...

Hi Scotty and welcome along! I moved your thread here to Newbies as that's a fine intro you gave us - and this is its natural home :thumbsup You should look up Smee, another of our talented snappers here :-) Thanks Campbell, wasn't sure where to post, I'll keep an eye out for Smee on the forum.
