Dave, thanks for your thoughts. How did you find Maindetone to deal with ? Did you get an LSD and oil cooler fitted when they built your car?

just looking for some advice from the se experts I have a s1 elise with 96K miles and it looks to me that the head gasket has gone. Coolant has been leaking and I plus automec plus Craig couldn't find a leak. There is mayo on dipstick and filler cap The head was changed at 45k miles and a sabre head...

thanks again for suggestions. Elise shop don't have the parts they would have to order from lotus which is what I have done with deroure, just they are on back order with the factory. I tried junks on seloc too, but no joy. Good shout about machining. I think that will be my quickest route, had hope...

I looked at the tillet seats but was put off by the lack of padding and price. I was looking at the b5 model. Are they comfortable on a long run?
