S2/3 hardtop storage bag - SOLD

High quality leather hardtop storage bag in excellent condition Came with my S2 Exige but was never used by me or the previous owner. I'm unsure of the brand but it's really well padded, very sturdy and should provide great protection for your roof when not in use. Attached loops for hanging. Price ...

Wanted - Victory Wheels

A bit of a long shot but I'm looking for a set of Victory wheels for my S1. I know they're heavier, expensive etc but I love the look of them.

If you've got some you're wanting to sell I'd love to hear from you!

Cheers

S2/3 soft top roof for sale

Black

Hardly used (it came with my old Exige which had the hard-top almost all of the time) and in great condition.

Comes with both rails and the storage bag.

I'm looking for £500 for it. I'm in Edinburgh - pick up would be easier but I can look into postage if needed.

Re: I finally got one! (Edinburgh based)

Thanks everyone. The lunch stop in October sounds fun.

Corranga - it is a K&N. I’ll see what happens with the cat back on. I do like the noise, it’s just my ears were ringing a bit after my long journey north at the weekend.

Re: I finally got one! (Edinburgh based)

Great to hear you got one. Found your picture on Facebook on Will’s page. Enjoy it and hope to see you soon. Picture here would be good, but some here while advert is still online https://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/lotus/elise-s1/lotus-elise-s1--nautilus-metallic--full-suspension-reb...

I finally got one! (Edinburgh based)

Hi all, I’ve been on here for a few months and had some excellent advice on the general forum. I thought I’d post in this section now that I have an Elise (again after some time away) and no longer feel like an imposter! I picked it up at the weekend from Will Blackham, whom I would highly recommend...

Re: Have I done the right thing?

That makes it sound like quite a straightforward fix. Might indeed be a good idea to get Craig's thoughts.

Thanks

Have I done the right thing?

Hi all, Today I made a journey to the south of England to look at a car that I genuinely thought was “the one”. A 1998 S1 that’s probably mechanically the best I’ll ever find - it’s literally had every serviceable item and known problem area replaced or upgraded, at huge expense of course. Cosmetica...

Re: S1 Ownership

They say advice is what you ask for when you know the answer but wished you didn't... Sounds like really it needs to be an S2. I had a 2009 SC a few years back (sold to move abroad) and then an Exige S (no parts to repair following an accident). I'd have an SC again in a heartbeat but they're few an...

S1 Ownership

Hi everyone and sorry for another slightly noob post on this forum. I met up with Dom this week who was kind enough to show me round his lovely sport 135 and give me the lowdown on S1 ownership. After going out for a blast I’m more or less convinced. There are however two things holding me back. Dom...

Re: Anyone with an S1 111S or Sport 160?

In fact I think by law you have to declare that in an advert? It also has a slightly iffy MOT history and is currently registered as black rather than green. I think I’ll avoid that one...

Re: Anyone with an S1 111S or Sport 160?

Sadly yes I have first hand experience with insurance and parts for these cars! Not something I ever wish to repeat. I’ve bought a few used cars in my time but my experience with a spanner is fairly limited. The info I’ve had so far from here and elsewhere does suggest that an S1 would come with a f...

Re: Anyone with an S1 111S or Sport 160?

Thanks all for the advice and the kind offers. Ian - I drove a 111R a few years ago and I must say I didn’t really get on with the power delivery. I’m aware there might be a similar story with the S160 but I’ve heard the 111S is more linear. Hadn’t really thought about modifying an S2 in such a way ...
