Just thought, Am ay daft...is the immobiliser relay under the black plastic box marked cobra next ECU with about 4 black wires connected? Looks like a bolt off box an then get into the white connector?? Thanks guys...I've heard bad reviews with bypass...but after aw the bother ova years I'd be happy...

Hey guys, Thanks all for your help....I've had this problem before over last 10 years off an on. It's always sorted itself somehow...like a ghost n the machine lol I've noticed over that time the alarm speaker makes strange noises and I wonder if it could be the ni-cad backup batteries are gone...??...

Hi all, Been a long time on here...my old elise s1 has weathered 2 decades superbly and I apologise if this has been covered, (almost defo), however this driving me nutz...not the first time hahaha Basically the elise s1 cobra 6019hf alarm does not arm or disarm/immobilise...no fuel pump priming or ...

Hi all, Long time no see or speak lol...it's that time of year again and have fired up the old lotus however I snapped the fan belt due to a stuck alternator and totally struggling to find a replacement...any help much appreciated?? Willing to buy a working alternator or even one that maybe just nee...

Passed Emissions test, after new lambda fitted :) just need some decent weather now to enjoy running about in my wee Lotus ;) The mechanic looked to have a bit of a job getting to the old lambda though & had to remove the manifold heatshield.... looked to be a home made one out of stainless steel......

Hi Shug, Thanks for the reply...yeah it's a standard Elise S1 and as you say has always been borderline over the years with emissions testing...usually just passing after I rip up and down the country roads to heat up the CAT...so am kinda expecting it to be the CAT or something else :( I've agreed ...

Hi all, Long time no chat ;) I am hoping for some advice... My Lotus Elise S1 failed it's MOT only on fuel emissions and the garage think it's the Lambda sensor, although when i tested with a volt meter there was voltage starting at 0.8 and decreased as i increased the throttle down to about 0.2 vol...

Hi all, Finished at last, my auld Lotus is alive again, yass! :D Much easier fitting the replacement and bolting everything back up...this is something that would be easier having experienced it before. Right then, what runs/trackdays are going on this year...feel like I've missed a couple o years w...

Totally knacked, won't even turn lol...now in with the good un, loadsa bolts n hopefully be out n about for the wknd

:lol: Hi all, Thanks all for the tips...I removed the top alternator fixing off the engine block and managed to get the alternator past the brackets, (I couldn't before), and it is now sticking against the coolant rail...I think I have to move the rail to get the alternator out...I just hope I can g...

Thanks all, Reckon I'll try disconnecting the coolant rail at the bottom end so it can be moved out the way...might get that fuc**ng alternator out yet ha ha :lol: Is it a real hassle to replace the water loss..? I am not sure about removing engine mounts n that Hiscot, altho I am fairly sure it wou...

Ok, another 10 mins & the alternator is still not out...I suspect the alloy water pipe running from the cyclinder head round and down to the water line needs to be disconnected to allow removal..? Any help\advice much appreciated
