Re: Hamil7on

I have watched him since he started in F1 and over the years he has been petulant at times and his performance has been very mood dependent. Now though I think he is a lot more balanced, less susceptible to big variations in performance based on where his mind is at. All together a much more rounded...

Re: 2030 - No more new ICE

Going forward the gas network will shortly start the switch to 20% hydrogen mix, start of a planned faze out of NG. Apparently the majority of modern condensing gas boilers can be quite easily converted with and injector/burner change. Who pays for that, well I think you guess the answer but green a...

Re: 2030 - No more new ICE

Talking generally not specifically aimed at you. Further down the road they will tax electric cars, can't afford not too. It's the how that tax will be calculated if everyones recharging at home how do you differentiate between house and car for usage. edit: fully expect Robin to jump in and give me...

Re: 2030 - No more new ICE

Don't disagree with that but not everyone can afford a new electric car so at the moment it's only the reasonably well off can afford those savings. And how is the second hand market going to take to used electric cars when there are still big questions about battery longevity.

Re: 2030 - No more new ICE

I also think that there’s a reluctance to move to leccy, why I don’t know? Because it's a forced choice. Everything that has gone before has been an incremental change to cars, general upward improvement in safety, economy and performance. The change to electric is a massive shift in the everything...

Re: Hamil7on

Stroll's car was damaged, ran over some debris on track and damaged some important canards on his front wing/underside of the car which meant he lost front down force. I guess that's why he slipped back to Perez rather than Perez catching him.

Re: Hamil7on

Watched the race, Hamilton was no where till his tyres wore through to slicks and the track started to dry, without all the tread moving around he could manage the heat so essentially bagged most of the benefit of going to slicks without a stop. the mercs have so much pace in hand he didn’t have to...

Re: Type 131

I have no doubt it will be bigger in physical size and have a higher trim level than the current car but the elise has essentially gone unchanged for years. Yes the trim has improved and it runs a different engine than original but if you strip off the clams and look the fundamental architecture has...

Re: Collecting Cars Exige 430

Collecting Cars in general are quite expensive I think. Some nice hardware passes through but nothing jumps out as being a steal compared to market value. Add in buyers premium and some look like they would have been better off buy from a dealer.
