Re: Has this place died on its arse?

You bought a Caterham, Rob?! How’s the family?! Still lurking here every now and again. Yes, bought a Caterham last week, pick it up next weekend from Yorkshire. I've gone sensible and only gone for a 190bhp version! :D Once the summer arrives, I'll need to get back involved in roadruns, and meets!...

Re: Treadmills

Good input from all. A majority of the challenge is getting back into the habit. I suspect it'll be a mix of outdoors and treadmills. I did manage to get one, but will intermix it with outdoors. Good to have the option. I got a treadmill last year and found that watching TV while running helped app...

Re: Tesla Model 3

I did consider the polestar but its a no deal from the Miniblonde on that one. Getting it ordered up just now, its through a leasing co (not Tesla) so I'm not 100% convinced the referral code will work but the leasing guy has said he'll do his best to get it registered with Tesla against your code ...

There's a wee bike shop on the main street round the corner from your work, if you're struggling for time?

Re: A question for all you accountants

An accountant here... Pretty much what Graeme and Ali have said. For Corporation Tax purposes you take your profit and add back the depreciation which is dealt with for taxes separately. Say your profits are £900 and within that you've charged £100 of depreciation. You add back the depreciation so y...

Re: Private property parking fines....

I was suprised by the amount, I thought the company could only claim for lost revenue, i.e the £40 a month. I think it's the fact she, by parking there, was deemed to have accepted the terms of the contract- the ones on the signs. Nothing really to do with lost revenue in this case, given the contr...

Re: Smart Repair...

We use Chips away regularly at work to fix dents in generator housings and some of the fleet. The guy that has the franchise here, Milngavie, is very good.
I used a guy in the Southside, and he wasn't so good.
It really depends on the franchisee.
Good luck
